I once saw this analysis of a 1990s "all diva" show where mariah carey, aretha, whitney and like 7 other divas sang together. They went through the whole thing and how whenever one singer went high, low, or loud that Aretha would then instantly go even MORE extreme in that direction.

Given that explanation for why...I wish that Bonnie didn't sing, or that they had coordinated on the singing so they were singing distinctly different parts or something. So much of this performance felt like they were competing, not cooperating, which never sounds good.
